LEAD2GO is a dream 10 years in the Making!
Our story and the evolution of LEAD2GO Dog Leads is one of passion, persistence, and the power of family.
In 2015, we (Jason and daughter Paris) had an idea that seemed simple, but we knew it would make a huge difference to the convenience of walking your dog.
We were tired of the usual hassle—tying doggy bags to the lead or shoving treats into our pockets.
We thought, there’s got to be a better way.
That’s when we decided to create a dog lead with a built-in zip pouch, making it easy to carry bags and treats without the mess.
Jason introduced the idea to Paris when she was just 15, and it immediately clicked. We were determined to make it happen; Paris quickly jumped on board using our home sewing machine to create the very first LEAD2GO Dog Lead sample. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start—and it was our start.
From there, our journey truly began. We spent years working with various manufacturers, trying to find the right partner who could bring our idea to life the way we envisioned.
There were countless samples, revisions, and frustrations along the way—some good, some not-so-great—but nothing that felt like the one. And just as we were starting to feel the weight of the journey, COVID hit, and we had to put everything on hold.
But here’s the thing: we never gave up. We were determined to see our idea come to life, no matter the setbacks.
Fast forward to 2024, and after years of learning, growing, and refining our vision, we finally found the perfect manufacturing partner. Our incredible manufacturer worked hand-in-hand with us, bringing our vision to life with care, dedication, and expertise.
Their passion and attention to detail were exactly what we needed, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their commitment to making LEAD2GO Dog Leads a reality.
Along the way, we’ve had the support of so many people who helped us in ways big and small.
Our friends and family cheered us on, gave us honest feedback, and believed in our dream when it felt out of reach. We've had incredible mentors who guided us and pushed us to be better.
After 10 years of passion, trial, error, and unwavering belief, LEAD2GO Dog Leads is finally ready for the world. And we are beyond excited to share it with you.
